To the Editor:
To the voters of Monroe, Easton, and Trumbull, I write this letter in support of Tony Scott for State Representative. We need Tony to continue to support us in Hartford because he is doing just that, supporting us.
I’ve seen Tony around town always asking residents, groups, and organizations what concerns they have and how he can help. One of these concerns is Hartford’s attempt to strip towns of our control over zoning regulations.
I know everyone doesn’t always agree with decisions made by our local boards and commissions. The power the voter has is that if enough people disagree with the Planning and Zoning Commission you can elect new members.
That power will be lost if control gets turned over to appointed bureaucrats up in Hartford.
Tony will continue to fight for your right to have a say in local zoning regulations. Tony understands the job and what is actually within his scope.
Tony knows that the most important part of being a State Representative is the representation he provides for us. Tony is always willing to listen to the concerns of his community regardless of political affiliation. And he takes those concerns to Hartford and fights for us. That is why I ask you all to get out and cast your vote for Tony Scott.
Ryan Condon,
Monroe Planning and Zoning Commissioner
