A Character Night is coming to the Great Hollow Lake Pavilion

MONROE, CT — Parks and Recreation Director Missy Orosz says Great Hollow Lake is still not open for swimming since flash floods hit the area Sunday. However, a Character Night will be held at the pavilion Wednesday night.

Minion and Scooby Doo will entertain families with musician Tom Weber from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event is free for Monroe residents with a valid Wolfe Park sticker. Nonresidents are welcome, but have a $10 fee at the gate.

“This is a make-up from a rainout a while back,” Orosz said of an appearance by the BenAnna Band that had been canceled on July 31.

Families are welcome to bring snacks and parents should remember to bring their cameras. Children must be accompanies by an adult.

This Character Night is sponsored by Baum Braces, Bartlett Tree Experts, River Road Pediatric Dentistry, My Smile Orthodontics.
