NEW HAVEN, C.T. — Masuk High’s boys swim team had a nice showing in the State Open, at Yale University on March 16. The Panthers placed 15th as a team and had some impressive swims, including a pair of record-setting efforts. Brendan Kirberger got a best time in the 200 yard freestyle and rebroke his Masuk record as he placed seventh in 1:44.50. He got a best in the 500 free and rebroke his own Masuk record in that event as well, coming in fifth in 4:40.96.
