Wayback Burgers to join Chipotle on Spring Hill Road

Wayback Burgers is bringing its Cheeeesy Burger to Monroe with a new location at 375 Spring Hill Road.

MONROE, CT — Wayback Burgers will be the third tenant in the new building that will also house a Chipotle and Jersey Mike’s at 375 Spring Hill Road. The burger franchise announced a lease signing in a press release issued Tuesday.

Krishna Desai will be the local franchisee of the new restaurant, which will be the chain’s 21st Connecticut location. The business, which will bring 30 new jobs, is expected to open in late 2023. The commercial building is currently under construction.

The Double Bacon Burger is among Wayback Burgers’ menu options.

“We are pleased to continue the expansion of Wayback Burgers in our home state of Connecticut with the lease signing of our Monroe restaurant,” said Patrick Conlin, president of Wayback Burgers. “Adding another restaurant to our home state brings us great pride. We look forward to working with excellent franchise partners like Krishna Desai to share the Wayback Burgers experience with new and returning guests throughout the Constitution State.”

“Wayback Burgers’ exceptional customer service and high-quality food initially attracted me to becoming a franchisee,” Desai said. “While I’m no stranger to being a business owner, Wayback Burgers’ support and guidance throughout the franchising process has assured me investing in my own restaurant was the right choice.”

“I look forward to sharing delicious menu items, especially my personal favorite, the Double Bacon Burger, along with the full Wayback Burgers dining experience with the Monroe community soon,” he added.

Wayback Burgers offers a variety of made-to-order burgers, available as a single patty or classic double patties. The “Cheeeesy” is a fan favorite and comes with four slices of melted American cheese and two beef patties made-to-order, sandwiched between an inverted, grilled and buttered bun.

Wayback Burgers also offers cheesesteaks, crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, Impossible Burgers, chicken tenders, fresh salads, and sides, including fries, tater tots, onion rings and mac and cheese bites. Wayback Burgers is known for its rich, hand-dipped milkshakes, crafted to order with Blue Bunny® ice cream and milk.

The new 1,500 square-foot Wayback Burgers of Monroe will offer a lighter and brighter elevated dine-in experience, according to the press release, with a modernized kitchen visible through glass windows and a pass-through. The new design allows guests to see their food as it is prepared.

Furnishings will also include a variety of seating options, including upholstered banquettes, booths, and floating and community tables.

  1. We shall see how wayback will fare in Monroe . In Stratford they failed. Might have been the management team. Food was good but not cheap.

  2. Three new restaurants in the same location with at least 9 other existing eating establishments within a mile dosen’t sound good for any or all. Does this sound like good planning to you?
