Masuk incident under investigation as swatting campaigns plague Connecticut

MONROE, CT — A state investigation is underway to determine the identity of the person who made a threatening call leading to a swatting incident at Masuk High School Wednesday. “We investigated the matter and it’s a similar threat that’s been going on all over Connecticut,” Police Lt. Kevin McKellick said Friday morning. “The threat was deemed not credible. It is consistent with swatting campaigns going on all over the state since the start of the school year. Masuk volleyball team defeats pair of SWC foes

MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s girls volleyball team continued its winning ways, following up consecutive wins over Immaculate and Newtown with a pair of 3-0 victories. The Panthers beat visiting New Milford on Sept. 20. Laura Micu had 2 aces, 17 kills, 1 block, 7 digs; Abby Urkawich recorded 2 aces, 5 kills and 13 digs; and Mia Tyler compiled 28 assists to go along with 1 block and 1 ace.
