MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s girls golf team defeated visiting Weston at Whitney Farms on Wednesday. The Panthers shot 223 to Weston’s 247.
Lauren Rosati carded a 51, Carrie Wittenauer and Izzy Roy both shot 55, Emily Florin had a 62 and Jocelyn Allen 63.
Masuk was coming off a split with host Pomperaug of Southbury and Newtown at Pomperaug Golf Course on May 9, and a setback to Immaculate at Richter Park in Danbury on Tuesday.
The Panthers beat Pomperaug 205-251 and lost by just a stroke to Newtown (204). Roy had a 47, Lauren Breyan had a 50, Wittenauer and Rosati each had a 54 and Elissa Campos a 57.
Immaculate defeated Masuk 185-217.
The Panthers visit Stratford at Mill River Country Club on Thursday and host Bunnell and Immaculate on Tuesday, May 17.
